2008 November Jerry & Me in Colorado, visiting his sister. We had not a clue then how our trip would be diverted It was quite funny to find this old country store, with our name. |
Well while I have been assuring myself that winter came earlier this year, Jerry suggested not so. Found some photos from November 2006 that recall an early snow as this of the front roses, hmmmm. At least there is no white stuff here on the grounds, that is one more reason for thankfulness this Thanksgiving.
Roses in the snow, here November 2006 |
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jerry, Pat, from another set of Morrisons, one also named Pat.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comments about holiday shopping and let them that want to do so, even if not for us.
It will be a quiet day for us as well.
Empty nesting is tough and then there are days you say it isn't so bad. I am sorry about your loss of Steve and I know it has permanently left you both broken hearts. I have many days with sadness and yet I am glad and enjoy life as best as it can be. I hope you get to go south soon. That will be great for you to get away. The more that shop now gets them out of my way later when I go shopping.
ReplyDeleteLarry, thanks...we have found empty nesting not so bad when we are south and amongst people like ourselves, RV couples. Then it's like a permanent vacation or adult playground. Like you, we enjoy as best too...life goes on.
